PANJGUR: Professor Dr. Abdul Malik Tareen, the esteemed Vice Chancellor of the University of Makran Panjgur, and the Honorable Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. Mir Sadaat Baloch, expressed their profound appreciation to the students of the English department for their diligent efforts in organizing a grand literary program and showcasing commendable performances.

The students of the English department held the sixth literary program of the Makran Literary Society on Wednesday, April 24th, which was exquisitely organized under the auspices of the English department. Students from the eighth, seventh, fifth, third, and first semesters participated in various segments of the program. As the event comprised multifarious segments, students recited poetry, engaged in IQ games, delivered speeches, hosted a panel discussion, and concluded with melodious songs performed by Nadir Aslam and Kamal Baloch, captivating the audience with the colorful array of performances.

Moreover, as the program unfolded with its diverse colors and performances, Fuzail Ahmad from the eighth semester and Mehrullah from the seventh semester served as emcees. The program commenced with recitation of Holy Qur’an, followed the poetry segment, enriching the event with creative verses from both male and female students. Furthermore, Bilqees Rahman from the fifth semester enlightened the audience with a critical review of the masterpiece “Pir a Kamel”. Subsequently, Mr. Faraz Sarwar, a lecturer in linguistics, orchestrated a question-and-answer game, injecting humor into the proceedings to gauge the wit of both students and teachers. This segment, administered by Mr. Faraz Sarwar, infused the room with laughter and lively interaction. Following this, Sameer Ahmad from the third semester delivered a speech on the Causes of Unemployment in Balochistan. Shadri Musaddiq from the eighth semester then moderated a panel discussion titled “The Role of Literature in Real Life”, featuring panelists Peer Muhammad Asim (8thsemester), Ajmeen and Ali (5th semester), and Zahid Dost(3rd semester), who explored the multifaceted aspects of the topic. Finally, Nadir Aslam and Kamal Baloch enlivened the finale with their melodious performances.

In conclusion, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Abdul Malik Tareen and Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. Mir Sadaat Baloch who had graced the program with their presence, expressed immense delight in the students’ performances. They noted that the University of Makran will flourish with excellence and stand prominently in the province as one of the prestigious universities in the near future, provided that students and faculty members continue their collaborative efforts in the same string. Meanwhile, the Head of the English department, Madam Saima Jahanghir, expressed gratitude to the Honorable Vice Chancellor and Pro-Vice Chancellor for their participation and encouragement of students’ efforts. She assured that the faculty is committed to pursuing quality and excellence in all endeavors.
