QUETTA: A security personnel was martyred and three others were injured in an armed attack of the Quick Response Force of the Frontier Corps in Duki area of Balochistan, on Monday.
Officials said that a group of unknown armed men attacked a check post of FC established in the coal field area of Duki for providing security to mines owners and workers. The security forces immediately retaliated and returned fire.
Heavy exchange of fire continued for some time during which the FC Quick Response Force (QRF) was called on which was attacked by the armed men while coming towards the maiming area.
“Armed men using automatic weapons targeted the QPF personnel before reaching the coal mine field,” Captain (Retd) Fayyaz Ali, Deputy Commissioner Duki said, adding that a soldier of FC martyred and three others injured who were shifted to district hospital Duki.
The soldier, who martyred in the firing, was identified as Muhammad Bilal while injured includes L/ Naik Abdul Qayyum, L/Naik Asmatullah and sepoy Shahzad.
Officials said that a search operation has been launched in the area to trace out the armed men involved in the attack.
