Many people may not know the abbreviation of “Hospital.” After reading this article they will come to know the full abbreviation of “Hospital.” The word “Hospital” stands for “House of Sick People in Trauma and Labor” The definition of a hospital is an institution built and staffed for the diagnosis of disease and treatment of sick people.  Is there a house of sick people in District Panjgur? No, there isn’t.

Fortunately, there is a big building of civil hospital which has been designed beautifully in the city of Chithkan while there are several sub hospitals in every town such as Tasp, Khudabadan has two hospitals with fifty bedded, Gramkan and other towns in the District of Panjgur. The civil hospital was rebuilt, upgraded and two big generators were provided by the UAE government a few years ago. Unfortunately, Panjgurians are deprived of having good doctors and the hospital does not have the latest machinery. If you speak of medicines; you cannot get a tablet of panadol in the hospitals in District Panjgur. Patients have to buy medicines from private pharmacies.

Vaccinations are not available for the treatment of fever in all hospitals including sub-hospitals in the towns in district.

The condition of all hospitals in District Panjgur is worsened; a single tablet is not available in all hospitals. Doctors, who have been appointed in the hospital, do not perform their duties well.

Many patients have to go to Quetta and Karachi for treatment.

Especially poor women patients, who come for delivery cases, face tough challenges in the civil hospital of Panjgur. If they are lucky they will become alive, otherwise they will die.

Many women patients died when they were brought in emergency cases in the hospital while many died on the way in the ambulances when they were referred to Karachi or Quetta.

Doctors are known as the second God because their job is to save human life, but the doctors, who have been appointed in the civil hospital in Panjgur, are a murderer. If you visit the other regions of Makran Division such as Turbat, Gawadar and Jiwani, you will come to know the condition of hospitals is much better than the hospitals in Panjgur. The patient will be treated well and respected. Doctors seem to speak politely with patients.

Patients will be provided medicines freely in the civil hospitals in the other regions of Makran Division, but the behavior of doctors in District Panjgur is zero percent.  On the other hand most of the people claim that medicines are provided by Balochistan’s Government, but they all medicines are embezzled and are sold to private pharmacies, while the doctors claim that the ministry of health is not providing medicines for District Panjgur. This is a critical issue nobody knows exactly where the medicines are used. This is the matter between the ministry of health and the doctors who are working in the hospitals in Panjgur.

The government of Balochistan can solve this issue better whether the medicines are provided by the ministry of health or not.

It is not so, Panjgur is so backward and has no doctors.

There are many able and expert Panjgurian doctors who have specialties in their field, but they are working out of districts such as Turbat, Quetta and Karachi.

According to the rule of the government of Pakistan when a doctor is appointed newly he or she has to work in their home district for three to six years first. After that, they can transfer to another city if they want. The system of Panjgur is different.

When the doctors are appointed newly, they will move to the city first and never come back.  The minister for health from 2013 to 2017, did not improve the condition of the hospitals during his governance. Now the current provincial minister for Agriculture is not bringing any new changes to improve the conditions of the hospitals in Panjgur, although all people who are employed in the district are the workers of the Minister. Another interesting point is that seven secretaries belong to District Panjgur, working nothing for their home district. Recently, the Chief Secretary and secretary of health visited Panjgur with Minister Mir Asad Ullah; they also visited the civil hospital. The Secretary of Health briefed the media that he would appoint fifty doctors for the district during his visit to Panjgur. Since then two months have passed the fifty doctors are missing yet.

Nations will change by getting an education. Panjgurian students used to be top of the list in the field of education throughout the country.

They used to be hard workers and still their efforts are known everywhere in the country. But nowadays their hardworking and efforts are going down day by day.

It is requested to all students, scholars, teachers, intellectuals and religious people to take some necessary actions against all hospitals in Panjgur so that the condition of hospitals can change and we should bring prosperity for the patients.

Unless we take such step, changes and prosperity will never come. We usually go on strike against an issue and take out a long rally by the call of a minister.

Why we cannot go on strike and take out a rally against those doctors who do not perform their duties and for the hospitals? Think about it. “The writer’s purpose is to highlight the issue so that it can be solved” ”
