Balochistan, the name of which would create a gravity attraction in the developed countries and nations of the world. Balochistan is the province of Pakistan which has been given everything by the creator of the universe that is enough to change the destiny of a country. But unfortunately, Balochistan is rich in all natural resources and it is the least developed compared to other provinces of Pakistan. Lack of good political leadership, lack of academic awareness and internal distractions are the reasons if Balochistan is called a pile of problems, it will not be wrong. Problems are piling up. Such as outdated education and health system, limited employment and sustainable and authentic sources of livelihood, the problem of protection of the coast and marine life, which is the livelihood of most people and the biggest and most pressing problem of the present time which It is the national, social and religious duty of every soulful and conscious person to pay attention to it, it is the “curse of drugs”.
The coast of Balochistan from Jewani to Gadani, on which the eyes of the whole world are fixed. Since the sea is the largest and most important source of export and import in the world, therefore, most of the countries of the world use this source to exchange commodities. Among these commodities, the most important and profitable thing is drugs. Which is illegally smuggled from one country to another in different forms.
Drugs reach the people through different sea routes of the world and this business is considered to be the most profitable business of today.
Gwadar district (which is central not only to Balochistan but also to Pakistan) especially in Tehsil Pasni and its adjacent rural areas, drug poisoning has spread to such an extent that the only way to prevent it is to ensure the survival of the young generation.
We will be among those responsible for promoting an apathetic society where the sole purpose of an individual’s life is the pursuit of addiction. Nowadays, where other nations are trying to gain access to the other planets of the universe by making education their motto, on the other hand, we are sinking into the earth by imposing a curse like drugs on ourselves.
We have become desensitized to individualism to such an extent that even a five-year-old child can easily buy any type of drug and there is no one to stop him. There might be drug addicts in every house, from whose presence even their household items are not safe because they want drugs at any cost. However, the whole society has been engulfed by this evil. Most of the youth have either lost their mental stability or lost their ability to think and understand due to drug abuse. On the other hand, drug peddlers are setting new growth records. They occupy a very high position in society and we consider them very trustworthy. But now is the time to change that thinking. We ought to raise the slogan of “Amr- Bil-Maruf Wa Nahi An-El-Munkar”. Although we are not believers of Islam on this level and declare Jihad against the evils, but all of us can do so much that we do not treat the evildoer with respect and credibility.
The question arises that the annual budget of billions of rupees allocated for drug prevention is not a waste of money, then what is it? The Constitution of Pakistan lays down the responsibilities of various departments and at the same time obligates them that all institutions should perform their responsibilities efficiently within their limits so that the way can be paved for the development of the country. So, isn’t there any organization to prevent drugs in the country? Not exactly institutions, but institutions were created. So, there is a humble appeal to the rulers of the same institutions to play the role of the front man by showing responsibility to end this scourge of drugs.
Because this drug epidemic has ruined the nation especially youth and many homes. Hardly any home is immune from the ravages of drugs.
On the other hand, there is a strong appeal to the people of knowledge and wisdom to promote collectivism and awaken the awareness among people that the curse of addiction licks generations like termites lick wood, so in such a situation,
their knowledge and wisdom is very important to use usefully so that the region and the nation can get rid of this deadliest disease. It is hoped that with collective efforts and steadfastness in the right direction, the scourge of drugs will be controlled soon.
