The book “Parizaad”, which has been famous throughout the country, is one of the most popular novels. This book was authored by one of the well-known novelist Hashim Nadeem who is the most celebrated novelist in Pakistan. He has written the best novels back-to-back and it is one of them which is based on the bitter side and the real face of the people in the society and harsh truth of life.

The main character is Parizaad on whom the novel revolves around. Parizaad was a dark skinned and a true lover whose entire life was spent by only one look of his love that would be only for him. The story makes the readers emotional, but never let them be bored, rather it makes them eager to read further and enjoy themselves, because it is such an emotional story which touches the souls of the readers.

Parizaad was born in such a society where he was always mocked and suffered to have a dark skin but he had a name that described the beauty, because his name was different from his appearance. In fact, he was even mocked by his own family. He was let down by everyone in the society for his dark skin though he was a kind-hearted person and had good intentions. He was always judged for his appearance instead of his good intentions.

His love was rejected due to his appearance and poverty.

Whenever he became rejected because of poverty, he decided to become rich at any cost since he considered that money is the only thing which could make respect for him in his society. After being rich, everyone respected him, but he couldn’t get satisfied because he considered that no one respects him, rather they respect his money. Due to this thought, he could not understand the love that a girl had for him since he judged himself like his society does.

The book painfully ends on Parizaad’s death with meaningful and great lessons. Through this book, the author elaborates the reality of life that life doesn’t always go the way one wants.

The novel shows the harsh truth about people who are around us.

People always know us for our personality and appearances instead our good intentions and due to judgmental society, we also judge ourselves to lose many precious things and persons in our life.

I would highly recommend this book and I admire the writer who has written this book with his valid ideas that attract the readers’ souls.
