Officials said that personnel of the Frontier Corps were passing through Kharan bazaar, and when they reached the main chowk of the district headquarters, unknown motorcyclists hurled a grenade that exploded in front of a tea stall, injuring seven people.

Police rushed to the site and shifted the injured persons to the district hospital.

“The injured people were passersby,” a senior police officer, Hashim Baloch, said, adding that the target of the attack was a vehicle carrying the FC personnel. However, the FC personnel remained unhurt in the grenade attack.
