Karachi: Tragedy struck the city’s upscale Defence Housing Authority (DHA) neighborhood at night, as a fierce clash between two factions of the Bugti tribe left five people dead and six others injured.

Among the deceased is Fahad Bugti, nephew of the late Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti, former chief Minister and Governor Balochistan, and son of former Balochistan Assembly member Mir Ahmad Nawaz Bugti. The other victims have been identified as Nasibullah son of Soor Bugti, Shay Mir Mahsim Bugti, Mir Isa Bugti, and Ali Bugti.
Six others, including Mir Ali, Haider Bugti, and Qaim Ali, were injured in the crossfire and are currently receiving treatment at Jinnah Hospital. Hospital sources confirm that their condition remains critical.


According to DIG South, the clash was sparked by a long-standing feud between the two groups. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
According to sources, the exchange of fire occurred between two groups of the Bugti tribe, but the reason behind the clash is still unknown.
Sindh Home Minister, Ziaul Hassan Lanjar, has sought a report from the Additional IG Karachi regarding the incident. He stated that no one is above the law and that all possible measures will be taken to establish the rule of law.
The minister also directed that legal action be taken against those involved in the armed clash, emphasizing that no one will be allowed to disrupt peace in the city.
