QUETTA: Secretary of Information Imran Khan visited the Directorate General of Public Relations Balochistan (DGPR), where he was welcomed by DG Mohammad Noor Khetran and other officials.
During his visit, the Secretary inspected the under-construction Digital Lab, which is being developed with the cooperation of the Chinese Embassy, as well as the Electronic Media Monitoring System and the Information Cell.
At the event, the Secretary was briefed on the implementation of the Google Workspace program at DGPR and announced that the Information Department would be the first department in the province to utilize Google Workspace services.
He instructed the officials to accelerate the work on the Digital Lab and the implementation of Google Workspace and emphasized that these services would also be extended to district information offices.
He reiterated that DGPR would be fully equipped with modern technology to enhance its capabilities.
Secretary Imran Khan also highlighted the importance of training programs for the Public Relations Department officers and staff.
In preparation for the 14th August Independence Day celebrations, he directed DGPR to take effective measures to prominently promote the events being held across the province on electronic, print, and social media platforms.
