QUETTA: In a disturbing incident, a student and her mother were allegedly harassed in the examination hall of the Government Girls High School Jinnah town during the Intermediate exams on Friday in the provincial capital of Balochistan. The incident has sparked outrage among the people, calling or accountability within the education system. On the other hand, the Education Ministry of Balochistan has taken notice of the incident, directing a fact-finding inquiry.

Talking to the media in a press conference, the victim student, Aima, accused that her paper was snatched half an hour earlier and added, “Due to this injustice, I called my mother to the examination hall, but the superintendent resorted to physical assault and harassment.”

Aima alleged that rampant cheating was taking place within the exam hall. When she started to record it, the superintendent got furious and subjected them to physical harassment along with other students.

Determined to seek justice, Aima’s mother vowed to expose the corrupt education system. She concluded that she did not know their names; however, she was going to file a report against the superintendent and others involved in the violence.

Whereas, Chairman Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, on the advice of the Minister of Education Raheela Durrani has taken notice of the incident and summoned a report within 24 hours.
