Pak-Iran border entry point in Prom remained closed

PANJGUR: Pak-Iran border business entry point in Prom Tehsil of Pak-Iran has remained closed today for the sixth day due to the protest of business community, due to which people are facing severe difficulties.

On behalf of small-scale oil entrepreneurs and border committee prom on the border of Iran and with the support of Haq Do Tehreek Panjgur, they protested against the E-tag sticker system in prom and in favor of independent identity cards in tehsil.

Arif Baloch, Bashir Ahmad, Abid Ashraf and others are leading the protest demonstration and they are demanding that till the business people of Panjgur on Pakistan-Iran border are given E-tags.

“The protest will continue until the sticker system is not resolved,” they said.

He said that while there are identity cards of Panjgur, those who have identity card vehicles should do business, but the district administration called the e-tag sticker system. It is from which a few sections are doing business and it will be for the poor We do not believe in e-tag sticker system nor will we believe in re-verification.

“They have brought hundreds of vehicles on rent from Turbat and other districts and parked them in their homes when the world is here, what will happen to the poor people and what will the poor eat?” he asked.
