“There is no doubt that Usman Khan Kakar was a resourceful, fearless and fearless politician and the voice of the oppressed. In this hour of sorrow, we mourn the loss of Usman Khan Kakar,” she said.

Prof. Dr. Naqibullah Achakzai has said that he and his team did not talk about  Usman Kakar being hit on the head with a hammer but they heard him falling in Usman Kakar’s bathroom.

“There seemed to be several reasons for this. They have heard of the post-mortem report being shared on social media, but they are not aware of it,” he expressed these views while addressing a joint press conference in Quetta on Tuesday.

During the press conference, Prof. Dr. Naqibullah Achakzai said that he was called by a senior doctor from a nearby hospital at 7:45 pm on June 17 that Usman Khan Kakar had been brought to his hospital in a critical condition and was being informed, that he fell in the washroom and was injured, they have done CT scan which shows that Usman Khan Kakar has blood clot in his head and Usman Kakar’s condition is gradually deteriorating.

“You should immediately arrange an operation theater. So that he could have a timely operation on which,” he was asked and “I immediately prepared the operating theater and my team and around 8 o’clock Usman Kakar was taken to our hospital where we immediately transferred him to the operating theater,” he said.

Dr. Naqibullah said that when Usman Kakar was taken to his hospital, he was vomiting and when I saw his state of unconsciousness, his condition was medically 4, medically the scale of consciousness is 3 to 15. Coma scale says 3 means dead while 15 means human being in normal condition i.e. Usman Kakar’s condition was one level above death and his eyelids were also sitting and there was no response but he was breathing.

“The CT scan had a massive bridge hemorrhage and subhead brain hemorrhage. Before this, an acute subdural hematoma also pressed the brain and shifted it to the other side, even when the level of consciousness was 4 and If the patient’s breathing is restored, it is the duty of the doctors to operate on him as soon as possible,” he told.

“On this basis, we immediately transferred him to the operating table in the operating theater, but in the meantime, before giving him drugs,” Dr. Naqib said.

He said that the tremors started and the team of senior doctors treated him immediately. “However, when we shaved a part of his head for his operation, Usman Kakar’s head was swollen and injured and he was blind. There was an injury. We heard about the hammer in this regard, but it could be several reasons for such an injury,” he said.

“At first we heard him fall in the washroom and we thought that maybe his head was in the washbasin or something else in the washroom. The surgical treatment we gave to Usman Khan Kakar was more swollen in his brain and we had removed the hematoma but more damage to the brain,” he said.

“Upon arrival, an extra veil was placed so that the brain could get extra space due to the swelling. That is why we took more time in the operation. The operation started at 8 am and ended at 1:35 am,” he said.

“Later, after consultation with the family of Usman Khan Kakar and his party leadership, it was decided to transfer him to City International Hospital where 2 doctors of Agha Khan Hospital Karachi were present,” he said.

“Our team moved him safely and then we stayed with him for treatment. The next morning at 7 o’clock when I visited there, his right eyeball had also returned to normal and his physiological response had improved. We further hope that brain swelling will decrease in the next few days after which they will be treated further,” Dr. Naqib said.

He said that we had placed the skull bone of Usman Kakar under the skin in the abdomen so that it could be put back in its place after 2 to 4 months after the swelling of the brain subsided but the condition of Usman Khan Kakar during the next 24 hours. The pupils of the right and then the pupils of the left eye started to sit back.

“However, all the other parameters were normal. The next morning at 6 o’clock I called Usman Khan Kakar’s family and party leaders and consulted them and gave my analysis. In my opinion, the death of Usman Khan Kakar may not be possible now. At first, there was an 80% chance of death due to head injury and now the chances of life are further reduced and later after consultation,” he said.

“It was decided that Usman Khan Kakar was shifted to Aga Khan Hospital Karachi. He was rushed to Aga Khan Hospital by a private air ambulance. At first the doctors there did nothing but ICU care but later they checked the brain with modern technique and then declared the brain death of Usman Khan. After the death of Usman Khan Kakar and his family The people decided on his autopsy for which he was shifted to Jinnah Hospital Karachi where his postmortem was done. I have heard that his postmortem report has been shared on social media,” Dr. Naqib said.
