DALBANDIN: A protest rally was taken out by National Party (NP) against the poor quality services of few cellular companies in Dalbandin on Friday.

The participants set on fire the sims and advertising posters of Ufone, Telenor and ZONG at Shaheed Hameed Baloch chowk after marching on different roads. People from different school of thoughts participated in the rally.

While addressing the participants, NP leaders Sardar Rafique Sher Sanjrani, Mir Atif and social activist Ghaffar Bangulzai said customers had been tired of the poor quality data and call services of Ufone, Telenor in Chagai district which was still deprived of ZONG-4G except an Afghan refugees camp Girdi Jangal.

They said, “It has been extremely difficult to even dial a call or send sms since Ufone disconnected its media from Wateen Fiber network in Dalbandin.” They alleged that Telenor-4G data was working below the speed of 2G in Dalbandin, Nokkundi, Taftan, Chagai and surrounding areas. The regretted that major towns of Chagai district were still using 2G services of ZONG which, they termed, was injustice to the masses.

They said students, traders, social media activists, journalists and employees of public and private organizations were suffering due to poor quality services of cellular companies in Chagai district. They urged the concerned authorities to provide better services to customers in district Chagai by upgrading their systems in the area.
