UTHAL: Pakistan Coast Guard in various operations against smuggling of cannabis worth crores of rupees, has seized foreign cigarettes, non-paid customs vehicles, Indian Gutka besides arresting 11 illegal migrants from Pak-Iran border. 

“The Pakistan Coast Guards is playing its due role in improving the economy of the country by eradicating smuggling and illegal trade in the region,” official siad.

According to a press release issued by the spokesperson of the Pakistan Coast Guard, at the check point Kharri check post in winder area, 9 kg of high quality hashish was recovered from two passengers in a passenger coach traveling from Quetta to Karachi and the passenger smugglers were taken into custody while 6,323 kg Gram Chhaliya, 1060 stacks of foreign cigarettes, 972 packets of Indian Gutka and miscellaneous items were recovered and 01 coach 01 car and 03 persons were taken into custody.

In another operation, a non-customs paid 05 Toyota Hilux smuggled from Quetta to Karachi was seized due to lack of documents and 09 persons were arrested while checking from Super Highway (Karachi).
