QUETTA: In its central statement, the National Party termed the sudden death of party leader and former federal minister Senator Mir Hasil Bizenjo a great tragedy and clarified that Mir Hasil Bizenjo was a historical figure, nationalist and democratic political leader who fought against dictatorship for more than half a century and struggled against tyranny.
“From his student days, he endured the hardships of imprisonment with incarceration. He remained a part of Parliament for two decades and bravely defended the people’s rights and democracy,” statement said. The National Party values Mir Hasil Bizenjo’s invaluable services, sacrifices and perseverance and is determined to continue his struggle, it further said.
“In the current situation of the country, especially in Balochistan, Mir Hasil Bizenjo’s demise is a great tragedy for the oppressed classes and subjugated nations across the country,” he said.
In its central statement, the National Party declared ten days of mourning for the death of Mir Hasil Bizenjo as an irreparable loss to the party. According to the party statement, the body of Mir Hasil Bizenjo’s body was sent to the ancestral town at 6 AM. Funeral prayers and burial will be held at 5 pm in Khuzdar district along with ancestral graveyard today, statement said.
