QUETTA: The Central leader of the National Party, Former Federal Minister Senator Meer Hasil Khan Bizenjo has passed away after confronting a one year battle with lung cancer in a private hospital in Karachi on Thursday.

Meer Hasil Khan Bizenjo’s condition deteriorated and he was shifted to a local private hospital where he succumbed to Lungs Cancer.

Born in Tehseel Naal of district Khuzdar in 1958 Meer Ghos Buksh Bizenjo commenced his political career under the supervision of veteran nationalist politician and former Governor Meer Ghos Buksh Bizenjo.

Hasil Khan Bizenjo remained active in politics and later joined the political party of his father Pakistan National Party.

He continued his political career with Balochistan National Democratic Party and Balochistan National Politics but later joined the Balochistan National Party as Secretary General under the leadership of Sardar Attaullah Mengal.

Two times Member National Assembly in 1990s and 1997 late Meer Hasil Khan Bizenjo launched his political strive for the rights of Balochistan.

In 2003 he joined National Party and remained its Chairman till his demise.

 According to Bizenjo House sources, the funeral of the late Meer Hasil Khan Bizenjo will be held at 4 pm in the ancestral graveyard next to his father Mir Ghous Bakhsh Bizenjo in Naal.

Meer Hasil Khan Bizenjo remained as Petroleum Minister during the PML N regime in 2015 while emerged as candidate for Senate Chairman during 2019 no confidence motion against sitting Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani.
