The decision to approve the new Access to Information Amendment Act will replace the Access to Information Act 2005. The Act has been made more comprehensive and effective that will be tabled in the Assembly for final approval. Further the appointment of Chief Information Commissioner and Commissioners for hearing public complaints regarding access to information under the Act would be made.
