QUETTA: The Parliamentary Committee of Balochistan Assembly on Wednesday unanimously selected Mah Jabeen Sheeran as Chairperson of inquiry committee constituted by Speaker Qudus Bizenjo to probe harassment and blackmailing scandal in University of Balochistan.
QUETTA: The Parliamentary Committee of Balochistan Assembly on Wednesday unanimously selected Mah Jabeen Sheeran as Chairperson of inquiry committee constituted by Speaker Qudus Bizenjo to probe harassment and blackmailing scandal in University of Balochistan.
The 2nd meeting of the Parliamentary Committee held in Quetta chaired by Chairperson Mah Jabeen Sheeran decided to commence probe over video scandal in province biggest university that discourage female students from pursuing education in University of Balochistan.
The committee members Meer Asad Baloch, Meer Saleem Khosa, Denish Kumar, Sana Baloch, Naseullah Zeeray and Shakeela Naved have attended the meeting on Wednesday.
The committee would submit its report in Balochistan Assembly after interviewing university staff and students sexually harassed and blackmailed by university administration.
“The inquiry committee wouldn’t compromise on the issue which brought clumsy sore on our educational environment while all aspects would be reviewed thoroughly.” Chairperson of probe committee Mah Jabeen Sheeran said added the committee members would visit University of Balochistan today in order to meet caretaker Vice-Chancellor and students.
She further said, the committee members have been directed to visit Canteen, Hostel and Surveillance room and submit committee’s report in next few days, “The committee report would be made public and the responsible staff would be strictly punished.
