QUETTA: Veteran Baloch politician, Dr. Abdul Hayee Baloch has formed a new a new political party with the name of National Democratic Party (NDP) saying that the party will unite oppressed nationalities and working class on scientific bases on one platform to defeat undemocratic thinking and anti people narrative.

He announced forming new party while speaking at a press conference, here on Thursday along with other office bearers of the new party. “The party will unite pro-democratic forces across the country for Dr. Hayee Baloch will be the Central Organizer of the new party while Shahzaib Baloch advocate will take the responsibility as Deputy Organizer.

Mr. Baloch said that since last 70 years the people of Balochistan were in struggle and affiliated with nationalist politics for their national identity and achievement of their due rights in the country.

He said that during this period the political elders, students, youths, writers and intellectuals remained in jails and faced atrocities. He said that they had played frontline fighters in the nationalist politics and struggle and never abandoned their mission. He said that large numbers of political workers were still included in list of missing persons.

Mr Hayee, who elected MNA in the first democratic election held in 1970, said that the people of Balochistan were still deprived of their rights. The people of Gwadar were facing serious water
shortage and precious 800 km coast line land had been allotted to the capitalists, big business tycoons and many other institutions.

The fishermen of Gwadar were deprived of their centuries’ old livelihood by construction of Eastbay Express-way while the growers of Nasirabad and Jaffarabad districts were facing financial problems as they were not getting agriculture water from Pat Feeder and Khertar canals.

“Large number of growers and Zamindars has migrated to other areas of the country due to this situation in Nasirabad, Jaffarabad and Bagh areas of the province. Veteran Baloch leader claimed. He said that despite having mineral and other precious resources the people of Balochistan have no other option but to spend below poverty line.

He said that in these circumstances there was need to form a new political party for brining all democratic and nationalist forces at one platform for launch a joint struggle for the achievement of due rights of the people of country.

He announced a 15 member Central Organizing Committee which include, Mir Iqbal Zehri, Sanaullah Baloch, Sher Ahmed Qambrani, Niamatullah Shah Baloch, Sanaullah Ababki, Dr. Bahadur Shah, Changez
Hayee Baloch advocate, Sohail Baloch, Mir Bahadur Khan Khatiran, Abdul Rehman, Mukhi Radhay Sham, Waheed Baloch and Agha Gharib Shah.
