KARACHI: In a surprise move, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Naz Baloch on Sunday announced to join the Bilawal Bhutto Zardari-led Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).

Naz Baloch made the announcement during a press conference in Karachi alongside PPP’s Faryal Talpur. Sindh Chief Minister Murad Shah and Senator Saeed Ghani were also present during the press conference.

Expressing her anger over PTI policies regarding Sindh, the dissident leader said: “I feel that province of Punjab remained a focus of the PTI. They are focused on the centre.”

“I tried to persuade Imran Khan on several occasions that he must give time to Karachi and Sindh because our demotivated PTI workers were leaving the party to join other parties,” she said.

“The ideological worker is disappointed today because the people standing on Imran Khan’s left and right sides are neither the youth nor does any of them raise their voice for Sindh.”

This is no secret, Baloch insisted, that she had performed her duties in under the leadership of Imran Khan.

According to her, the PTI, which supported the youth and called for a revolution in the country, has itself changed. “I do not want to defame the party with whom I have had a good run.”

“I do not want to defame a party [PTI] with whom I have had a good run,” she maintained.

Baloch said, “I have made complaints about what I feel is the male chauvinism in the party.”

“By male chauvinism, I mean that only men are present when it comes to decision-making. Women do not have any such representation in the party,” she added.
