QUETTA: Two terrorists have been killed and many other injured in a gun battle with the security forces during an operation, launched in Frontier Corps in the mountainous area near Pishin, on Monday.

Officials said that the local administration received information about the presence of a group of terrorists in Sanzalai mountain range of Pishin district, on which an operation was planned by security forces in the mountainous area of Pishin.
The Security forces including personnel of Frontier Corps, levies and police moved in the area and cordoned off the hide out of the armed terrorist on which the armed men opened firing on the security personnel. The secretary forces took positions and returned fire in retaliation.
“Heavy exchange of fire continued in the area for an hour during which two terrorists were Killed,” Deputy Commissioner Pishin, Capt, (Retd) Jumma Dad Mandokhail said, adding that some terrorists were also reported injured in the gun battle.
He said that these terrorists were involved in the killing of a senior levies officer Resaldar Hameed Ullah when security forces took action against a group of outlaws who were involved in terrorist attacks and escaped into the Sanzalia mountain range.
“The operation was continuing in the area against the alleged terrorists in the suspected area,” Deputy Commissioner Mandokhail said, adding that the operation will be continuing until complete elimination of the terrorists group.
Meanwhile, the officials of the Frontier Corps (North) has informed the people about the presence of terrorists In the Sanzalai mountains who crossed into Pishin district from Afghanistan and they have established their pickets on the top of the hills.
“FC was conducting operations against these elements and in this situation the people should avoid their movement towards the area and should not extend any help to them including injured and dead.
