TURBAT: Unknown armed men gunned down two labourers belonging to Punjab in the Tump area of Kech district of Makran, on Sunday.

Officials said that both the victims were in the Srenkin area of Kech district close to Iranian border when armed men riding motorcycles targeted them.

Levies rushed to the site soon after receiving information and shifted the bodies to nearby health facility. They were identified as Muhammad Shahid and Muhammad Naeem who have received multiple bullet injuries that caused their instant death.

“Both the victims belong to Punjab and came to Tump for a labour job,” a senior official of the local administration said.  It was the second incident of the same nature in the last one week as two other labourers were also gunned down by armed men last week in the Dank area of Turbat who also come to Turbat for a labour job from Punjab. No one has claimed responsibility for both the killing incidents so far.

The Home Minister Ziaullah Langove has taken notice of the incident and asked the authorities concerned to submit a report of the incident. He also ordered an inquiry and said that the elements involved in the killing of innocent laborers would be brought to justice soon.
