QUETTA: DG Levies Balochistan Mujeeb Ahmad Qambrani said that Levies Force is a unique force in the whole of Pakistan. This force is community based which has a direct connection with the people. In its 100 year history, Levies Force has been known for its courage, bravery and pride.  This force has seen ups and downs in every era but never turned away from honesty and bravery.  The crime rate in the 90% Levies area is almost non-existent.

He expressed these views while addressing the officers and force at Levies Darbar Turbat. He said that the young men of Levies are at the forefront of law and order, including earthquakes, disasters, accidents, floods and other incidents.  He said that according to modern times, the Levies Force is also facing new security challenges.  Along with the military training of the soldiers, arrangements are also being made for their technical training. He said that the young men of Levies should always keep themselves with the people and be ready to protect the people so that the people love them.

Let the terrorists be terrorized by the Levies Force. The young men of the Levies Force should refrain from harassing the people and should always be vigilant to protect the lives and property of the people.  For the first time, promotions are being expedited and efforts are being made to provide modern weapons and vehicles.  He said that Levies police station would make Turbat an ideal police station while appointments would be made soon to fill the vacancies in Ketch district. He also said that the vacancies of officers would be filled up soon.  C-Pack will also provide motorcycles for the force.

Commissioner Makran Division Shah Irfan Ahmed appreciated the sacrifices of the Levies Force and said that it is basically a tribal force whose youth have a good idea of ​​the mood, problems and attitudes of the people of each area.  According to the military training can be made a better force.  Deputy Commissioner Catch Major Muhammad Ilyas Kabzai while briefing DG Levies about the difficulties faced by Levies in District Ketch said that District Ketch, which has a population of one million, covers an area of ​​24,000 square feet with 927 Levies personnel, 8 police stations and 12 outposts.

Despite limited resources during 2020, Levies Force arrested 85 suspects during checks and raids, while large quantities of illegal weapons, including various types of drugs, were seized.  He said that many Levies personnel were martyred in the fight against criminals and terrorism.  Currently, the Levies Force in Ketch District is facing a shortage of weapons, vehicles, motorcycles and commando uniforms for the C-Pack Force, which we have a small budget for.

He said that the Levies Force was in dire need of motorcycles and walkie-talkies for emergencies on C-Pak and also needed residential quarters in the police stations as the Levies Force personnel or officers would be transferred to other areas.  Residential quarters are required. In addition to providing a four-by-four ambulance, the Levies Line Turbat should be declared a Levies Training Center while the families of the martyrs should also be invited to high-level ceremonies.

There are currently 40 vacancies in the catchment area which will be filled soon so that the Levies Force does not face any difficulties in operations.  During the court, gifts were given to the families of the martyred Levies personnel and the officers and personnel promoted from different ranks were given promotion ranks by DG Levies Balochistan Mujeeb Qambrani, Commissioner Makran Shah Irfan Ahmed and Deputy Commissioner Catch Major Ilyas Kabzai.  Certificates submitted.  Later, DG Levies Balochistan also inspected the firing range of Levies Force Turbat where DG Levies Mujeeb Qambrani, Commissioner Makran Irfan Ahmed Shah, DC Catch Major Muhammad Ilyas Kabzai and AC Turbat Aqeel Ahmed fired.  On the occasion of arrival of DG Levies Force Balochistan Mujeeb Qambrani at Levies Line Turbat,
